The allure of Summer means more to us than ever as we remain in lockdown and under restrictions.

Summer is the season of long walks on the beach, bike rides to nowhere in particular, picnics with friends, balmy evenings and a carefree existence that seems to have escaped us for so long.  We are celebrating this month the promise of what is to come with a focus on entertaining and Christmas with family and friends just around the corner.

Get prepared for sultry summer days when routines disappear, and days can be filled with fun again. We have stocked up gorgeous new products for gathering with ease and style from Kollab, Indigo Love Collect and Robert Gordon to name a few that have Summer’s Bags packed-literally!!

A DAY on the beach
The footpaths are sizzling, and the beach is beckoning so fill your easy to carry Kollab Beach Bag with essentials to grab and go.  Ours is filled with Sage & Clare Taffy Nudie TowelsAcorn Kids Sunhats and Halcyon Nights Swimsuits for the little ones, Freedom Moses SlidesBaxter Blue Sunglasses and some light reading for Mum. Don’t forget to toss in sunscreen, water bottles (Beysis), headphones (Beysis Airpod Case) and a Kaftan.

A TRIP to the market
Savouring Summer’s bounty of fresh produce with regular trips to your local farmers markets is easy with your Robert Gordon Harvest Basket.  Ours is packed with a Trifine Shoulder Shopping bag for holding all your extra essentials such as Rifle Paper Co Grocery List, Long Sleeve Shirt for Summer protection as the day warms up and the Dusky Robin Coin Wallet for spare cash.  I can already taste the crisp cool cocktail refreshments and sumptuous salads.

A PICNIC in the park
Getting together for an alfresco meal is one of the joys of summer. Grab your Kollab picnic rug and take the stress out of packing by keeping Kollab or The Somewhere Co Cooler Bag packed ready with your non-perishables.   Ours includes Indigo Love Flemington acrylic tumblers and wine glasses, Amalfi Woodend rectangle serving board, Eb & Ive Bask Cheese Knife Set, Amalfi Collette Bamboo Plates and Madras Link Tea Towels.

A CAR TRIP to explore
Road trips are part of my best childhood summer memories.  Exploring new places and adventures far and wide are worth the hours in the car,….as long as you have gathered activities to keep the kids busy along the way.  Grab the Sun jellies tote bag and add books, Petite Collage card games, Kollab Stash bag aka pencil case, we might be tiny snack box and you’re ready to go!

If you haven’t heard already there is going to be potential supply issues and postage delays the closer, we get to Christmas.  Aust Post has advised any international parcels should be sent by end of October and interstate parcels by end November to guarantee delivery before the big man in red arrives!

Get a head start of Christmas Shopping with Simone’s and my favourite picks and wish lists to get your ideas flowing…..

We know that along with freedom comes responsibility and so we wanted to assure you, our Little Cactus family, that we will be doing all we can to make our space a Covid Safe place to shop.

Our Covid Safe Plan includes the following:

  • QR Code, Sanitiser & Face Masks on entry
  • Social distancing and capacity numbers adhered to
  • Regular disinfecting of surfaces throughout day
  • Windows and door open for increased air ventilation
  • Air Purifier in Shop 3 with less natural air flow
  • All staff will be fully vaccinated and wear face masks

One thing the last 2 years has shown us is that if we can shift our perspective from what we’ve envisioned and see more easily the unexpected opportunities right in front of us that together as community we will achieve more than we ever dreamed.

May we all enjoy everything that summer promises and look forward to days face to face together again.
